Goal setting: How to exercise daily using Goal Maker
To exercise daily using Goal Maker, set the goal, then add short tasks at the same time each day. Here is an example.
Goal: Exercise for 30 minutes every day.
Start: today. End: ongoing.
Tasks:
- Walk or run. Every day, 6:30 AM, 30 minutes.
- Stretch. Every day, 7:00 AM, 10 minutes.
- Strength workout: push-ups, squats and a plank. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 6:00 PM, 20 minutes.
Make the goal specific. “Exercise daily” is a start. “Exercise for 30 minutes every day” tells you when you have done enough.
Keep the tasks short and at the same time each day. That makes them easier to keep doing.
To set it up in Goal Maker, add the goal with its start and end, then add each task with its days, start time and length. Open Goal Maker.
It is not a race. Tick off each task on the days it is due.
