Goal Maker is made by Heyedd Softwares. This page says what the app stores, where it is kept, and how to delete it.

Without an account

You can use Goal Maker without an account. Your goals, tasks and ticks are then saved on your device only. On a phone they are in the app’s own storage. On the web they are in the browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us. Usage analytics and crash reports, below, are sent with or without an account.

With an account

If you create an account, we store:

• Your account. Your email address, your password in hashed form (bcrypt), and your name if you give one.
• Your goals. Each goal’s name and dates, the tasks under it, their days and alarm times, and a record of each day you tick a task.
• Sign-in sessions. One record for each device you are signed in on, so you stay signed in.

This is what lets your goals show on every device you sign in on.

Email

We email you only about your account: a welcome when you sign up, a link when you ask to reset your password, and a notice when your password changes. There is no newsletter and no marketing email.

Alarms

Alarms are set on your device. On a phone they are notifications scheduled by the phone itself. On the web they ring from an open Goal Maker tab. The app asks for permission to show notifications when you save a task with its alarm on. No push notification service is used.

Usage analytics

The app records how it is used, such as the screens opened and the buttons tapped, so we can see which parts are used and where people get stuck. When you are signed in, the records are linked to your account.

They never hold the names of your goals or tasks, or anything else you type. The records are kept on our own server, not by an analytics company.

Website analytics

The goalmaker.app website, not the app, uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It counts visits and shows how people find the site, such as from a search or a link. It sets cookies to do this.

Crash reports

If the app hits an error, a report goes to Sentry, an error-reporting service. It holds the error, what the app was doing at the time, your device model and operating system, and the app version. It is not linked to your account.

What we do not collect

• No tracking across other apps or websites.
• No advertising.
• No location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

The website goalmaker.app has no analytics at the moment.

Server logs

Our server records each request it receives: when it came, what it asked for, the result, and the IP address it came from. We use these logs only to find and fix problems. They are kept on our server and in Grafana Cloud, a monitoring service, and are deleted automatically as they age.

Who else handles your data

• MongoDB Atlas stores account data and usage analytics.
• Oracle Cloud runs our server.
• Resend sends the account emails.
• Grafana Cloud keeps the server logs.
• Sentry receives crash reports.
• Google measures visits to the website (Google Analytics).

We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.

Deleting your account

In the app, open the Account menu (the person icon, top right), choose Profile, then Delete account at the bottom. Type your email address to confirm. On the web, sign in at goalmaker.app/app and do the same.

Deleted straight away: your account, including your email address, password and name; every goal, task and tick; your sign-in sessions; your settings; and the usage analytics recorded while you were signed in. It cannot be undone.

Kept for a while: server logs, until they are deleted as they age. Emails we already sent stay in your inbox, and in Resend’s delivery records under Resend’s own retention. Crash reports, which are not linked to your account, age out under Sentry’s retention.

If you cannot sign in, email apps@heyedd.com from the address your account uses, with the subject “Delete my account”.

Without an account, your goals are only on your device. Delete a goal in the app, delete the app, or clear the browser’s data for goalmaker.app, and they are gone.

Changes to this policy

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
